Six acting students are gearing up for a huge opportunity as they perform in The Illustrated Girl at The Kneehigh Asylum at Carlyon Beach in St Austell this weekend.
Inspired by The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury, and featuring stories and songs by Kneehigh regulars Anna Maria Murphy, Carl Grose, Dom Coyote and Simon Harvey, The Illustrated Girl is a riotous, irreverent theatrical collaboration between Hall for Cornwall Youth Theatre and Kneehigh creatives.
The cast have been rehearsing at the Keay Theatre at Cornwall College St Austell during the summer.
Acting Lecturer Lydia Day said how proud she is of the acting students from Cornwall College.
“They’ve taken time out of their summer break to rehearse with Kneehigh and HFC Youth Theatre in The Illustrated Girl,” she explained.
“The students have an incredible reputation for applying feedback quickly upon request from directors and a focused commitment to their continued skills development.”
The performances will take place on 5th-7th September at Carlyon Bay.
