SWIG Finance is delighted to announce the expansion of its SME Lending team.
In November, two business managers joined the lending team led by Senior Business Manager Nicola Parker.
New starter, Steve Mayell, is based in Wiltshire and will be supporting new customers throughout Wiltshire and Dorset.
Prior to his new role at SWIG Finance, Steve gained more than 14 years of experience working in the financial services sector with customer-centric roles at HSBC and Handelsbanken. Most recently, Steve worked as a mortgage broker for BuildStore Limited.
Nicki Kimberley, has also moved over to join the SME lending team, having worked as an advisor in SWIG’s Start Up Loans team for the last 2 years. Before this, Nicki was a Business Specialist at HSBC’s Small Business Banking team for 7 years. Nicki will be supporting SWIG’s customers throughout Cornwall and Devon.
SWIG’s regional SME Lending team was established in 2018 and has since grown to a team of seven in response to market demand.
Of his appointment, Steve said “Having read the SWIG Finance Social Impact Report before I joined, it was clear to me that their approach to business lending was different. SWIG Finance put an emphasis on face-to-face contact so we can fully understand the ‘big picture’. I am really looking forward to my new role and supporting the South West business community over the coming months and years.”
Senior Business Manager, Nicola, commented “I’m very excited that Steve and Nicki are coming in to strengthen the SWIG lending team and our presence in the region. They each bring with them a wealth of experience within the local SME sector which will help us to support more businesses secure the funding they need”
