Students in St Austell have been showcasing their creative talents at the end of their academic year.
Art, design, media and photography students from Cornwall College St Austell displayed their final pieces in an exhibition which saw hundreds of visitors experience the talent and creativity of the Cornish young people.
Acting student’s hilarious take on Ellen McLaughlin’s ‘Lysistrata’ by Aristophanes brought the house down with its humorous lines and foot tapping songs.
Dancers performed their feminist piece ‘Triptych’, an exciting dance show in which the three parts were choreographed by Rose Kimberly, Shelby Dover and Jess Leonard, to a packed Keay Theatre.
The Level 3 Trainee Hairdressers completed their year with a creative hair design exam around the theme ‘forces of nature’.
Head of College, Chris Taylor said although the students have been under an immense amount of pressure to finish their courses, “this final burst of creativity is a celebration of all they have accomplished throughout their time at the College”.
“They should all be very proud of what they have achieved – we wish them the best of luck with the next stage in their journey,” he added.
