More than 50 trainee accountants are looking forward to graduating at a special event in May.
The students, some in employment, some achieving qualifications to return to work, and others wanting the technical skills to use in their own business, will come together on Friday 17th May, 6pm – 8pm at The Keay, Cornwall College St Austell to celebrate their achievements at CCB Training’s AAT Graduation.
Donning the traditional cap and gown, they will receive scrolls at the ceremonies to mark the end point of their hard labour, balancing work and life to reach their ultimate goal of achieving their accountancy qualification.
They will celebrate their successes and graduated in front of friends, family and former lecturers.
“We are delighted to host this graduation event,” commented Russell Searle, Accountancy Training Manager at the Cornwall College Group (TCCG).
“I’m so proud of how hard everyone has worked, achieving above national average results, It’s a great achievement by the delegates, but also their families and lecturers. Well done to them all.”
The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) courses equip learners with practical skills in finance, book-keeping and management accounting to train people to become qualified professionals. CCB Training offers Level 2 to Level 5 qualifications in accountancy through part-time study or apprenticeships at three of their sites; Cornwall College Saltash, St Austell and Camborne.
Elaine McMahon, CEO & Principal of the Cornwall College Group, gave her congratulations to the graduating individuals and former apprentices.
“Well done to all the accountants who have achieved so much and done so well,” she said.
“I am looking forward to celebrating your achievements with you and your families on the night”.
