Pitchfest 2019 applications now open to South West entrepreneurs

Innovative start-ups and entrepreneurs with high growth potential seeking investment are encouraged to apply for Pitchfest 2019, a pitching competition being run as part of Venturefest South West on 17 June at Sandy Park, Exeter.

Pitchfest offers innovators and entrepreneurs the opportunity to promote their businesses and pitch directly to investors and industry leaders.

Michael Dickinson, Pitchfest co-lead and commercialisation and investment manager at Falmouth Launchpad says, “Pitchfest is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your business to a room full of people who can help it to grow. Ideally, we are looking for businesses that are expecting growth through investment in the near future.  You should be at the point that your next round of investment will be in the £250k to £2m range. However, applications from businesses looking for between £100k and £250k will also be accepted and assessed.”

Successful applicants will have access to free, investor readiness workshops provided by The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN). Companies making it through to the live finals at Venturefest South West, hosted by UK Business Angels Association, will pitch to investors covering product demand, potential for growth, company expertise and competitor advantage.

Businesses interested in applying for Pitchfest 2019 should complete the application form on the Venturefest SW website (www.venturefest-sw.co.uk) by the close of play on Sunday 7th April. Businesses applying should operate within the key theme sectors of Venturefest South West.
