Global thought leaders Like Minds return to Exeter this September for their annual flagship event, the Like Minds “Innovation & Ideas Festival”. The festival will run over two days from the 27th-28th September and will play host to over 16 high-profile guest speakers from across the globe.
The festival is an unmissable gathering for startups, entrepreneurs, business leaders and innovators. The theme of the event is the sharing of ideas, and it presents a unique opportunity for attendees to meet and engage with like-minded businesses and individuals against a backdrop of immersive workshops, inspiring speakers and panel debates.
The calibre of the guest speakers at this year’s event is particularly impressive, with names such as:
- Chris Moss, founder of Mav3rick
- Dan Simmons of Propelia
- Bruce Daisley, EMEA Vice President of Twitter
- Jeremy Waite, Global Leader of CMO Programs at IBM
There are exciting new additions to this year’s festival, with “Pitch Fest” now boasting one million pounds in the room as an extra incentive to would-be applicants to the startup pitching competition.
The fun continues each evening with a networking event held at the city’s luxurious Hotel du Vin. Here, delegates will be able to mingle and reflect on the events of the day with fellow attendees and guest speakers.
The Like Minds Festival has enjoyed international success in the past, having been held in New York, Helsinki and London. Like Minds also hosts monthly events in both Exeter and London. The festival’s return to Exeter will see as many as 700 attendees descend upon the city over the course of two days. Delegates can purchase tickets for either day, or choose to fully immerse themselves with a two-day experience.
The festival will take place at various locations across Exeter, showcasing some of the great spots that the City has to offer. From Southernhay’s Dean Clarke House through to entertainment venue, The Phoenix. For those that can’t make it in person, the festival will be live-streamed via social media.
Aimed at both local and regional audiences, the festival aims to shine a light on Exeter – bringing together visitors and people who live here to share ideas and learn from each other, debunking any misconceptions that Devon is far removed from London’s thriving business scene
