Free courses available from Learn Devon – tell us what topics your business needs now

By | |

Learn Devon (hosted by Devon County Council) has provided Adult and Community Learning courses and nationally accredited qualifications for more than 20 years. A wide range of courses are delivered through qualified teaching professionals and specialist partner organisations.

As the Covid-19 social distancing measures have required the cancellation of face-to-face delivery, Learn Devon have been designing on-line, remote tutor-led courses which will be available from 1st May 2020. Subjects on offer will cover employability, digital skills and wellbeing.

But as recruitment and training will be a vital component when the lock-down is lifted, Learn Devon wants to know what the key skills are that your business needs – both now and in the future to support personal and organisational growth.

We have designed a short, online survey for members of the South West Business Council to collect your feedback on where we should prioritise the development of new courses if the subjects are not already available. The survey will take no longer than 5 minutes (as it is mostly multiple choice) and will be open until 31st May 2020.

The data we collect will be used to identify priority learning requirements during and after the Covid-19 lockdown (3 questions). We also ask brief questions about your organisation / business (4 questions) to support our data collation – all responses are anonymous.

We understand this is a difficult time for many businesses and communities, but want to reassure you that whilst our centres may be closed, we are working hard as team to adapt our service to on-line/virtual delivery.  We seek to deliver the same high-quality learning experiences to support your personal, social, health and economic development – online, remotely – whilst ensuring our learning environments are always in a safe and healthy place where people have choice, control, and good employment opportunities.
