Feel the beat from a free workshop for child educators

By | |

Those who work with children in a teaching and learning capacity are being invited to apply for a place on a free workshop which uses a rhythm-based system to help children learn and listen better.

The workshop will be held in the A-Level Centre at Cornwall College St Austell on Wednesday 11th July 2018. Participants can choose between two sessions which feature Par Moor Pre-School, Braddock and Lerryn Primary Schools.

Director of Rhythmic Learning, Caroline Stephenson explained that it’s not every day that a high quality training opportunity for free is offered to educators.

“The reason is, we want those who attend to be part of this unique launch where we show the possibilities of Rhythmic Learning and the world of Rhythm Fun,” she continued.

“We know it can make a huge difference in children’s learning and we want the chance to shout about it.”

The morning session from 10.45am to 12.30pm features Par Moor Nursery and some pre-school children.

They’ll be showcasing their journey of outstanding progress using games and songs with some demonstrations.

The afternoon session, which runs from 1:15pm until 3pm will follow a similar format as the morning session, but featuring KS2 activities demonstrated by Lerryn and Braddock primary schools.

Team Lead for Childcare at Cornwall College, Dani Hamilton is keen to encourage all her childcare students to take part in the one-off workshop.

“It will be a great opportunity for our students and for anyone else who attends to be able to learn more about engaging children with rhythm based learning games, which have been proven to improve concentration, physical fitness and academic outcomes,” she added.

If you are a qualified professional, such as a teacher or TA working at a recognised school, nursery or other academic institution place please book your place at https://rhythmic-learning.co.uk/event.php or for more information about the workshops contact Caroline on 07967-653346.
