City College Plymouth has joined the effort to ensure key workers are protected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Along with a number of local businesses, the College has donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth, to keep the hospice’s supplies topped up while its staff continue to provide essential end-of-life care to patients.
Dave Wright, the College’s Health & Safety Manager, said: “During the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s important that organisations within our community are able to support each other by any possible means. As we have entered a period of remote delivery, City College Plymouth was keen to be able to put residual items of PPE to good use to offer our support.
“The care and support offered to the people of Plymouth by St Luke’s is so important, and we at the College are pleased we can help them to continue to do this safely.
”We wish everyone at St Luke’s and fellow organisations all the very best and are extremely thankful for their continued efforts throughout the pandemic.”
