Modern Networks, a specialist provider of connectivity, cybersecurity and IT support to the UK’s science and innovation sector, is set to open a new base at Exeter Science Park – where it plans to develop a technology centre of excellence.
The company, which also specialises in commercial property and education sectors, provides the digital infrastructure that allows organisations to collaborate securely, protect valuable research and intellectual property, and handle the demands of data-intensive work.
A Managed Services Partner (MSP), its services range from high-performance connectivity and managed IT support to its own Networks-as-a-Service offering, built on its own ISP network. All of Modern Network’s services and propositions are provided with a managed security wrap.
Modern Networks, which has 150 staff and was established in 1999, will base 12 members of its team at Exeter Science Park, where they will lead the development and trialling of new technology – including AI-driven tools designed to strengthen cybersecurity and improve how organisations manage their digital infrastructure.
