As young people face an increasingly uncertain job market, equipping them with the skills and mindset they need to succeed in the workplace could not be more important, both for their future careers and the South West economy.
As a leading enterprise, employability and financial education Young Enterprise is a charity that works directly with young people and their educators to develop the vital skills and mindsets needed to maximise future opportunities and make a positive contribution to their communities and wider society. They believe that all young people should be given the opportunity to apply learning in real and relevant contexts in order to develop transferable skills and enterprising mindsets, but they need to work with you to achieve this.
Covid has highlighted and expedited fundamental changes to the way we work. Their programmes help to address the developing need for digital skills and mindset as well as ways in which people now work such as flexible working. Through working in partnership with businesses and organisations in the South West they will start to address the future proofing of the medium – long term evolving economic environment. This project will help young people realise the amazing career opportunities within the South West, reducing the ‘skills drain’ historically experienced.
