A day of free seasonal workshops designed to help people with their mental wellbeing are taking place in St Austell on Thursday 29th November from 10am.
The event will be held at Heaven Scent, Carthew (near Wheal Martyn), the Cornwall College outreach site that provides courses that provide personal, social, vocational and employability skills for those with mental health issues over the age of 19.
Participants can choose one workshop in the morning and one in the afternoon. Workshops available on the day are; Seasonal Natural Craft, Leaf Art with Clay, Rustic Sign Making and Wood/Slate Etching.
Team Lead at Heaven Scent, Tina Fox said; “We’re really looking forward to welcoming the community to Heaven Scent, it’s a calming and natural environment to be in”.
“This taster day will be a perfect opportunity for anyone looking for ways to help with their mental wellbeing and there will be plenty of staff on hand to help with any questions about mental health support and joining a course”
There will also be a chance to learn some mindfulness techniques and photography skills on a device of your choice (please bring along your phone or camera).
If you are intending on staying the whole day please bring your own lunch, there will be hot drinks provided free of charge all day.
