Members of SWBC are invited to register for the Bank of England’s economic update briefing on Friday, 19th June, 8:30-10:30am. Alan Taylor is a member of the Monetary Policy Committee, and one of the nine members that determine interest rates. They will have announced their latest interest rate decision the day before, on Thursday the 18th, so Alan will be able to explain the MPC’s thinking behind that interest rate decision, “hot off the press”.
The format will be a presentation given by Alan Taylor followed by Q&A and some discussion (9-10am). His talk will be preceded by some networking time along with Friday morning coffee, tea, pastries and bacon rolls! And there will be a bit of time afterwards for further networking.
