Victims of Crime

SWBC are working with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) to deliver a support service to local businesses affected by crime. This service enables businesses that have been affected by crime to receive advice and support. Key partners have been approved either through the Buy with Confidence scheme (via Trading Standards) or through a relevant professional body.

Whether a business wishes to report a crime or not, the diagnostic and signposting service is available to any type of business and the aim is to provide relevant information and guidance from professionals who work within the business community. Key areas covered include:

Security

(Premises)

IT

(Including cyber security)

Victims of business crime can be assured that their information and case will not be shared outside the scheme and they will receive a single point of contact before being signposted to a partner organisation. Where there are complex needs across several partner organisations, key personnel will work collaboratively to ensure needs are effectively met.

Business owners are encouraged to utilise this service so that they can receive the necessary support for themselves, their business and their employees. Information and support is available to re-build business confidence which, in turn, will enable the business to continue in the local community. We at SWBC, urge you to take advantage of the support that is available so that, as a business community, we work together to overcome the affects that crime may have had on your business.
