Following last year’s success, young actors in Cornwall are to put themselves in the frame again for a mysterious mystery murder.

The free, two-day summer school event will see keen young performer’s workshop a much-loved murder mystery scenario, before performing in front of friends and family.

Taking place at Cornwall College St Austell in August, current year 8, 9, 10 and 11 students from the St Austell area and beyond who might be considering acting or a performing arts course, or those who “just love acting” are invited, according to acting lecturer, Karen Burdon.

“This is a great way to meet the lecturers and find out what it’s like to be an acting student at Cornwall College,” she continued.

“We’re going to be workshopping a murder mystery over two days so we’re going to need talented suspects!”

The event will run over Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd of August from 10.00am until 4.00pm with a scratch performance for friends, parents and the community at 4.30pm in the Keay Theatre on the Thursday; the audience will be encouraged to give a donation.

This opportunity is suitable for those 12 and over. Places are limited and given last year’s popularity, booking is essential. Please get in touch to book your place or to find out more please contact [email protected]
