Local businesses are invited to tuck in and ‘talk-up’ Plymouth at City College Plymouth’s next Talking Business @ PL1 event.

Run in partnership with Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and Plymouth Live, ‘Talking-up Plymouth’ will discuss Plymouth’s strengths and local organisation’s roles in celebrating and promoting Britain’s Ocean City.

Leading the discussion will be guest speakers: Bill Martin, Editor-in-Chief – Devon & Cornwall Reach PLC, Stuart Elford, Chief Executive – Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and Peter Vosper, Chairman – Vospers.

Pauline Hands, the College’s Acting Vice Principal of Strategy & Commercial, said: “There is an ambition to have Plymouth seen as a major regional city – with an international profile, culturally vibrant and in which local people will be justifiably proud. Plymouth is a city with an exciting future. There are many things that are unique and special about our City – its people, its heritage and culture, its businesses and its environment – and there is huge potential, in which everyone must play their part. The role of Plymouth’s businesses will be up for discussion at our January Talking Business event.”

Hosted by the BBC’s David Fitzgerald, Talking Business @ PL1 is taking place on Thursday 24 January, 5.45pm to 9.00pm. The evening of questions and good food costs £21.00 per person, which includes a two-course meal with wine.
