Join us for the next Property CPD Club meeting on 7th March.

Please note: Breakfast will be provided and tea/coffee available.

Commercial property and pensions – a match made in heaven?

A pension fund can be a useful source of finance to purchase a commercial property. However, there are potential pitfalls and things to bear in mind before you take the step.

This talk will cover:

  • The merits and potential pitfalls of a business owner using his/her pension fund to buy a commercial property for their trading premises
  • A recent case study outlining how such transactions can flow relatively smoothly
  • And further planning issues to be aware when advising clients in this area

Simon Lake, chartered financial planner, will explain the pros and cons of this method of finance and  will share his experience on the matter. This topic involves the input of solicitors, surveyors, bank finance, general insurance and epc assessors, therefore will be an interesting talk for the wider property sector.
