PRESENTED BY: South West Business Council

As a key strategic priority, DCBC seeks to promote entrepreneurship and further engender a positive and aspirational culture, absolutely vital to the peninsula’s long term economic prosperity.

Our next quarterly conference on Friday 1st December ‘Innovation and the Enterprise’ brings together speakers from Exeter, Falmouth and Plymouth Universities, Rothamsted Research and the MetOffice to consider the role of Academia and Business in Innovation.

Is collaboration working well in the South West ? Which collaboration models work best ?

There will also be presentations and discussion around the funding of innovation, involving speakers from Bishop Fleming, Innovate UK, Business West, and Wales and West Utilities.

We’re delighted to confirm that Dr Nicola Millard from BT will be our keynote speaker at this event. Nicola heads up Customer Insights and Futures in BT’s Global Services Innovation Team.

Combining psychology with futurology, she tries to anticipate what might be coming around the corner for both customers and organisations.

Parking information for Sandy Park can be found here on their website.
