Do you want a better understanding of how working with Fab Lab Plymouth could support your business or professional development?

Plymouth College of Art and Fab Lab Plymouth are delivering a FREE workshop supporting employees and managers of Devon-based businesses on 6 November 2018.

Fully funded by the European Social Fund, the session will focus on supporting your business’ growth and/or professional development through digital design and rapid manufacturing.

Fab Lab Plymouth at Plymouth College of Art is a fully-equipped digital manufacturing laboratory that gives its users the power to turn ideas and concepts into reality. Through providing businesses, students and the public with access to the very latest in digital technology, the Fab Lab Plymouth community is able to unlock the power of making today.

Successful businesses are always evolving, so being able to create prototypes quickly, try out new ideas and test concepts in an affordable way are all vital processes if you want to stay ahead in your sector.

Fab Lab Plymouth’s digital manufacturing processes such as 3D printing, laser cutting, 3D scanning and CNC machining enable you to do all this, without the need to invest in costly equipment.

Focussing on the advantages of digital design and rapid manufacturing, the session will start with a what’s what of Fab Lab Plymouth, followed by an introduction to additive and subtractive manufacturing, and other processes integral to rapid prototyping, research and development, and manufacture.

You will leave with an in-depth understanding of how your business could grow and improve its bottom line using the power of digital design, prototyping and manufacture, as well as tangible steps for taking this forward within your business and skillset.
