Sharing their thoughts on mobility, transport, technology, policy and people will be four outstanding keynote speakers;

Dr Mike Short CBE FREng FIET, Chief Scientific Advisor, Department for International Trade

Prior to his current appointment in November 2017, Mike was Vice President, Telefonica Europe responsible for mobile innovation, investment , R&D and standards. He has held various positions in the electronics and telecommunications sectors, and has been involved in mobile licence bids, network launches, and in recent years Innovation for international business development in areas as diverse as mobile messaging, mobile TV, digital health, connected cars, smart metering, smart cities and emergency services.

Dr Rick Robinson FBCS CITP FRSA AoU, Digital Property and Cities Leader for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Arup.

For over 25 years, Rick has delivered projects and strategies at the leading edge of technology, for some of the world’s largest institutions. Previous roles include Director of Technology at Amey, one of the UK’s largest providers of public and regulated services and infrastructure, and Executive Architect for Smart Cities at IBM UK. He regularly collaborates with a network of technology entrepreneurs, Universities and social institutions to explore innovations in digital technology, advising on their impact on infrastructure, communities and society.
