The South West Business Council, in conjunction with the North Devon Biosphere Foundation (NDBF), will be holding a conference on the 7th of September at Petroc College in Devon.

The conference audience will consist of senior business, third sector and government delegates. The intention is to also stream the event live.

The conference will cover climate change; climate science, and environmental challenges and include discussion surrounding the opportunities around Net Zero and the work of the NDBF on Natural Capital Funding; their Natural Capital Market Place and Smart Biosphere programmes.

Confirmed speakers include:

– Tony Juniper CBE, a campaigner, writer, sustainability advisor and leading British environmentalist and Chair of Natural England.

– Ian J. Bateman OBE, US-NAS, FBA, FRSA, FRSB, is a Professor of Environmental Economics and Director of the Land, Environment, Economics and Policy Institute (LEEP) at the University of Exeter, UK. He has advised on environmental improvement to senior Government ministers for over a decade and worked with over 200 private sector companies.

– Lord Robin Teverson, Chair of the Cornwall and Scilly Local Nature Partnership, and front bench spokesperson in the House of Lords for energy/climate change.
